has anyone replaced the bolts on warn manual hubs.VaderX 10-01-2002, 08:47 PM When checking the tightness of the studs on my hubs I realized one is completely snapped and another is pretty much gone. Now I need to remove a portion of the bolt from inside the mechanism. Apparently this has happened before. I was thinking of replacing the studs with bolts of the same pitch and length. Has anyone done this before and do you anticipate any problems with this. IggyB 10-01-2002, 09:34 PM I bought some 40mm long socket head bolts a few months ago. Will be replacing the studs this weekend. I think at least one of the studs has snapped as there's a bit of a grease film on it. The new bolts are the same grade as original, jus a little bit shorter. Hopefully they're just the right length. evergreen 10-01-2002, 10:52 PM antitree hugger has swapped the studs with bolts. as far as i know he has had no problems. Antitree_hugger 10-02-2002, 03:27 PM nope no problems. all still tight too. Make sure you use some thread lock type goop or a good lock washer.
