abs controller

My abs pump started running all the time. I unplugged the controller to stop it. searching for part on the internet i found a company that rebuilds the module for $150. the site says that the truck can run wihtout the controller while waiting for the rebuild. removal of the control unit is via 4 torx screws. Must send to rebuilder and wait for return.

Anyone with experience with theis rebuild option? Dealer wants about $700for the part and 200-300 labor. Ouch -- another blaxzer weakness? (Along with my front hubs, oil cooler hoses. radiator failure and intake manifold gaskets all before 60K

What year is it?
You may be good shape if it is the module.
But if not it will be back to the old drawing board.
Did you check it out first?
Did it have any abs codes?

Re: abs controller

It Is A 2000. The Rebuild Company Tests Before Billing. The Symptom Is That The Puimp Stays On Even When The Key Is Turned Off. Doesnt That Mean That It Is Most Likely The Computer Module?

Hey, no need to "SCREAM"! Even though it can be hard to keep calm when your truck is sick
