stalls at 1/4 tank of gas??frankgh 10-01-2002, 05:19 PM I just got a 2000 S-10, 2.2L, manual trans., 25K miles. The gas gauge was on about 1/4 of a tank and it stalled. I started it up and it just died. I did that couple times, then added about 2 gallons of gas. It started right up and ran fine. Then I filled it up and it took about 13.5 gallons to completely top off, that means it only held about 15.5 gallons after stalling (on 1/4) and I read in the book that it has a 18.5 gallon tank. Anyone have any ideas? It runs fine, so I don't think it is the fuel filter, could it be that, or maybe the pump? Thanks, Frank mitchy_v 10-06-2002, 12:54 AM i had the same problem with my 95 jimmy. when i filled it up all the way the needle went past full so i removed the dash panel and just pull the gas needle off and placed it back on at full. Never had a problem since. dmbrisket 51 10-17-2004, 12:02 AM mine does it the other direction, i can get wayyy below the e, and it wont fill up much past 3/4 of a tank (7/8) but who counts vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
