Ok as few,if any, of you have noticed; I have been gone since Friday afternoon. I have a good explanation of the reasons. Let's see, starting with Friday...
Friday
It all started Friday morning (well, a week before, but for the sake of the story Friday morning), I had been looking to pick up a car. I needed a daily driver, something kinda laid back, reliable, and able to carry around a car seat (I have a baby due on Mar 6). Now, I work at a car dealership, so I came in a week or two ago, and saw this nice little black car(that I worked on BTW). I asked him how much he wanted for it, he said he was selling it for $4956. I said, no, what'd you sell it to me for, he said $4000. I said ok, looked around it a little, and said I'd be back when I had more time.
Went back later that week and drove it around the block a few times. Nothing really special about it. It was a little peppy, but not too fast. Pretty good on gas. I liked it. So, I told him to give me the info (make, model, year, VIN) and I'd get ins quotes and see what I needed to do a/b a loan. It was a black, 2-door, BMW 318Ti, California Edition (leather interior, full cloth sunroof,etc). So (back to Friday), I got a call from the loan company early that morning. (I knew I couldn't get off of work early that day, so I was expecting to have things with the car hammered out by next weekend). They said, let's put you in this car today. I said yeah right, and they said they'd bust their tails to put me there. I said alright, go for it. I busted my tail that morning, trying to hammer out the insurance, and get the dealership to drive the car by the loan office and get pictures, info, etc. I took my lunch break and signed the paperwork on the loan.
At about 3:30, my mother was married. I got off work at 5, my mom picked me up (Talon still isn't running), and ran me to my house. That took forever, I was supposed to be at the car lot at 5:20, and was pulling into the driveway about that time (car lot is ~15 min away). I get my buddy to drive me to the car lot. I get there, the dealer is still waiting (he's about to sell a car, why not), and I get all his paperwork signed. By 6:30-7 o'clock, I'm driving away in a new(to me) 1996 BMW 318Ti. Happy as all get out too
Saturday
Wake up, kinda early (stupid cell phone). So, it was laundry day. I ran a load of clothes over to my mother's house, and wouldn't you know it, she was using the washer/dryer. Oh well, I had to clean around the house anyway. So, I go back to the house and do my annual cleaning. Lol, I get a call from April (pregnant ex), and she wants to 'talk' later (which would consist of, her telling me to let her move back in...blah blah blah and discuss custody arrangements for when the baby comes around). I said ok, later(not to be ugly, but I had things to do). So I cleaned up, and waited on a friend to come over, did an oil change and chilled for a little while. Then I ran to my mom's house for my sister's b-day party (had to leave early to meet April). Met with April, had a talk, felt like things went fairly good, dropped her off and picked up pizza. It was time for party #2. It was one of my friends mom's b-day. I went over there and hung out until about 11:30, then I headed home.
Sunday
I was still up at midnight. I started getting tm's from a friend. Got invited out to drink, turned em down (weird huh). I tm'ed back and forth until about 1:30. I was abruptly awakened at 3:30. I woke up to someone beating on my door. I assumed it was my roommate (has to work early in the mornings, and stayed out late, figured he lost his key or something). I open the door, about ready to beat him, and there stands April. We talked and came to the conclusion that she should probably head to the hospital (not an unusual thing, she has had some weird things with her pregnancy). So, yeah, we get there a little before 4. The hospital is deserted, looked like they had actually been shut down. We run into Emergency Care, get her signed in and all that. They take her to Labor and Delivery, and check her out. About 5:30, they tell us that her water has broken and she's going into labor (35 weeks, mind you). So I grab the cell, run downstairs (excited/confused), call my mom and stepdad(mostly because her parents' were supposedly on the way, not even going there, hah, they didn't show). So about 7:30, my mom and stepdad show up, with some breakfast (I was starting to bottom out on sugar). Smoked a couple more cigarettes (not really nervous, just having nicotine withdrawals, and struggling with the sugar issues).
We hung around the hospital for awhile. It was about 11, she was dilated 5 (half-way, compared to 3 hr. before 2.5) and they gave her the epidural and the medicine to speed the process. Her mother finally showed up at about 11:40. Within 15 mins, she had started labor. (all these times are estimations, no real thought has been given to them, and I was not sitting in the delivery room with pen and pencil writing this down). At 12:28pm, Feb 4 (Superbowl Sunday), 2007; Taylor Lynn Hill was born. She weighed 5lb 9oz, and was 17in long. She was very small, but very healthy. No problems whatsoever (other than jaundice, which is being treated). It was an awesome experience. I have no way of describing it in words, and the pictures don't do it justice, but that's the best I can do. Here's a picture of her, on Sunday.
I have more pictures, but I haven't uploaded them yet. I'll upload them as soon as I get a chance. I don't have any pictures of the car, but I could care less at this point. (If ya wanna see that, look it up).
Mon-Wed.
I spent Monday and tuesday at the hospital with the baby and mother. I've also seen her many little facial expressions and all her little actions... That girl is my world.
Tue night, they went home (was staying at mothers' parents house, again, not going there...)
Wed, took off work, and stayed at her parent's house from 2-6, and took them to my mother's house(to see the family), and April decided not to go back to her parent's house.
Today, they have decided to disown her, and thrown her stuff in the yard (I will be picking it up at lunch time.)
