Angry Persistent window failures

The golf is somewhat fun to drive when it works but it worked well for only three months after I bought it. Three months after my purchase of my new 99 GTI, the driver side electric window failed. Something broke inside the door and the glass fell down. The passenger passenger side broke a few weeks afterward just before exceeding 1000 miles. Both were repaired, but then the driver side broke again six months later, then passenger again and so on. Currently, the passenger side is broken and loose inside the door. I have plastic taped over it but I am unable to use the car for much because I fear it will be stolen.
This brings the total up to 7 window failures!

In addition to the windows, my rear safety belt jammed and was never repaired, orange chemicals are oozing out of doors, the glove box broke, the sunroof fell of its track, and the plastic levers broke off the seats.

This window problem has been a real inconvience and is unacceptable. Repetative problems like this are unacceptable since the car is so new.

I am now in the process of filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureu, Volkswagen of America, PA attorney Genreral and PA consumers advocates office. I am demanding Volkswagen buy the vehicle back.

My windows did the same thing, too. It is just something annoying that needs to be fixed. Once it is, the problem should dissapear. I also had aproblem with my hood-release-handle constantly falling off. Other than that, I have nothing against the Golf...

The window problem is caused by a faulty window regulator. Over 30% of all mk4 owners have had one or more break.
It's covered under warrenty, and most dealerships will cover it if it breakes after your warrenty has expired. Call VWoA (800-822-8987) if the dealer won't cover it.
Try not to slam the door shut if the window isn't rolled all the way up or all the way down.
