Gen IV supercharger question.

I have been talking to this pontiac guy and he said he could get me a gen IV blower and the lower intake for $650. If I did do the swap is this a reasonable price for a 20 hp gain. I think so. I paid $700 for all my mods for my Jeep and it didnt do anything at all for performance it just sounds better. Will I need to do anything else along with the blower and lower intake or is it as easy as just putting it on? To me this is a really good guaranteed 20 hp mod....Any thoughts?

Re: Gen IV supercharger question.

Are you referring to an Eaton M112 which is technically the GEN IV blower and used on V8 engines?

You can get an easy 20 hp gain with the stock Eaton M90 Gen 3 blower.

Ah, I see. Then you are referring to the Eaton M90 Gen V blower. It will work but I don't believe it is worth the $650 + expenditure. Plus you will need a throttle body adapter to properly connect yours to the Gen V blower intake flange.

Re: Gen IV supercharger question.

the gen V blowers do push a lot more air though and sound better...but yeah you can get great gains by just sticking w/ your gen III and dropping pulley sizes w/ supporting mods.

That is an understatement. The whole first half was a trip. Turnovers and sloppy! Of course, the second half is even better. Sorry to say this but Grossman is outclassed by Manning and the Colts defense.

But it is not over until the fat lady sings.

Edit Update:

Bears are owned!!!
