HUD worth fixing?

I have a 2000 GT with a heads up display. I bought it new and after only a couple of years it went out completely. During the 2 years it worked, the display would occasionally dim in and out. Now its completely out. Is this a can of worms? Is it even possible to work on, or should I just enjoy the large hump on my dash like I have for the past 5 years.

Re: HUD worth fixing?

Welcome to AF.

It may be fixable. There is a photo sensor the HUD uses that must be resoldered. Let me know if you need the DIY procedure.

Re: HUD worth fixing?

Thank you very much! Looks like an easy fix. Well worth the $3 part.
