Hard Top for 325i Convertsble ?? are they available ?Goober 09-04-2001, 04:07 AM I'm a newbie to the BMW world with a 91 325i C 2 door soft top ... Reading throught the owner manual I noted that its recomended in the winter months to attach the "hard top" ... I live in Seattle and its probably a good idea ;-) I'd like to get one regardless to have a "as genuine" a BMW as possible ... would these still be avablable on the market ?? second hand obviously .. or have they all be dissapeared ?? If any one know were to start looking for on it would be greatly appreciated ... cheers :smoker: :smoka: Goober 09-15-2001, 10:55 AM I know my post was boring ;-) but I have another question here ... Would anyone have an "average" cost of getting my '91 325ic resprayed .. the color is according to the dealer champain .. but it looks more like a goldish silver to me .. BTW I've only been in America for 9 weeks now .. hence asking stoopid question here .. thnx N321Q 09-16-2001, 04:31 AM The hardtop is avaiable. In fact, I saw somebody selling a used one on Ebay a couple of weeks ago. That's a good place to get parts. When you do a search, just type in "bmw e30" and a long list of BMW E30 parts will show up. I think also the dealer has it, too, but they probably want a lot of money for it. Good luck. Goober 09-16-2001, 08:20 PM Thanks N .. I had a feeling a dealer would ask much more then I'm prepared to pay .. I'll check EBAY out now .. thanks again for the advise Heep 09-16-2001, 08:40 PM Respray prices just depend on what kind of job you want done. Could be anything from $500 to $5000. Are you getting the same color? It's usually cheaper if you keep the same color... Goober 09-17-2001, 12:24 PM Thanks Heep .. I want to respray the original as best match as possible ... Are original BMW color more expensive?? Like does a resprayer think to him self ... "I'm going to charge more becuase its a BMW" ? I was hoping to get away with about $2K I'm also thinking it could be a little cheaper as its a convertable and not as much area to respray ;-) ... Anywya ... I suppose the only way to really find out is to shop around ... I might also hold off till I collect the parts for a body kit of some kind and get the hartop and get that all sprayed the same color .. Thanks for the advise again Goober vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
