Need to replace motor mount and trans mount on my 93' 3.1 Euro, anyone done this?

I was just wanting to get ideas on what would be the best way to change both these mounts out (trans mount and lower motor mount under crank pulley). I am sure it is going to be a pain, but I wanted to see what had to be disconnected/removed for the removal and install. Thanks in advance, help is greatly appreciated

I was told by my mechanic I wouldn't be able to change motor mounts in my back yard, didn't have some engine lift device he did. Am obstinate, and did change the bad engine mount under the crank pulley of my 97 lumina 3.1. You need a lot of clearance between the engine and the front frame. After supporting the car with jack stands,I used several jacks ,one under a board spanning the engine/tranny pans, two more under the front frame/cradle points. I removed the bolts holding the front frame ends, lowering them maybe 10 inches. Disconnected the upper engine mount and started jacking up the engine from underneath. This jack under the engine cannot move. (Used a floor jack, sitting on a 2 x 10) Also pulled/wedged out the inner cv joint several inches, thought this would give it more room, raising the engine gave the joint a pretty severe bend. The mount itself seemed pretty easy to change. Parts guy said he almost lost a finger changing one, good advice of course.
Disclaimer, am not a professional, good luck.

Did mine 2 weeks ago..also have a 93. No need to lower the engine cradle ! Jack up the car, remove wheels and place jack stands as close to ball joints as possible...punched holes in swing arm accept tip of jack stand. Do motor mount first. Remove plastic shield on pass. side. Remove 1 bolt on each of the upper mounts(dog bones)and the strap around the rad. hose. Remove serp. belt. Remove lower nuts from motor mount. Loosen, not remove ,lower nuts from trans. mount.Place a jack with a suitable wood block on the oil pan near the pass. side and apply a lil' pressure until the engine barely lifts. Remove the bolts that hold the mount bracket to the front of the motor....3 15mm in front and 2 13mm on the side..under the A/C Comp. Raise the engine just enough more and lean the bracket forward to get your ratchet on the upper mount stud nuts and remove them. Now you can remove bracket, then mount. Clean the pocket in the frame and the bracket. Reverse for assembly, but leave the lower mount nuts loose. Turn your attention to the trans mount....I did not have to change my trans mount...but it would have been a piece of cake if i would have repositioned the jack to the driver side as I had almost enough clearance to do it with the lil' bit I had to raise the engine to do the motor mount ! As always...work safe and steady !

At least engines today are light....my Lumina's whole drivetrain weighs less than my '77 grand Marquis' 460 c.i. did by itself Talk about smashed fingers...1000 pounds of engine and tranny balanced on a piece of 2x4 sitting on a crappy Kmart floor jack....me with my hands in between it and the frame

...be careful. Cram blocks into gaps to catch it if something fails to do it's job.

Got both mounts installed today. Trans mount was fairly easily but motor mount a little more difficult. I did not remove the bracket on the front the engine, I used a 15mm offset combination wrench to get the top nuts off the mount.
