Keep stalling while driving.rcdldl 01-24-2007, 01:21 PM I have a 97 plymouth voyager, 3.0 v6, 120k. It starts up fine and drive's o.k. but when I take my foot off of the gas pedal it stalls. As long as I am pushing on the pedal while in D it doesn't stall. When it stalls I need to put it in N and start it while given gas for it start back up. It is very cold here and when this problem first start I had almost no gas. Since then I have put gas in the van along with dry gas and fuel injector cleaner. Fixed a vacuum hose and cleaned out the egr valve. ANy ideas while be helpfull. RIP 01-25-2007, 12:07 AM The Idle Air Control (IAC) valve controls idle speed. It will give you a Service Engine light (SEL) and set a fail code in most but, not all fail modes. I would first check for fail codes and see what you come up with. For more specific codes you can go to Autozone where they will connect a scanner and check for codes free. For general codes you can turn your key from off to on three times, leaving it on and count the flashes of the SEL. A code 21 would be flash, flash, pause flash. Code 12 and 55 are normal. All codes are 2 digits. Codes or no codes I would remove and clean the IAC valve and it's port in the throttle body. While you're at it clean the throttle body with a spray cleaner.
