Hey guys. I'm currently selling my car (99 TransAM) and am looking at buying one of those All Wheel Drive Imprezas (GC), the problem is, I can't seem to find them anywhere. I live in Austin, Texas, and lots of people drive them here, but i can't for the life of me find one used. I've checked ebay and autotrader.com. So I come to you all asking where i might be able to find one of these in Austin, Houston, or San Antonio.

Any help will be appreciated.

nasioc.com (North American Subaru Impreza Owner's Club) has a classifieds section with plenty o' goodies, including the occasional Impreza. You should be able to find one at the local dealerships, too. I bought my WRX in Houston, and the dealership there had a HUGE inventory of used Subarus (not to mention the acreage of new ones). Texas has a pretty healthy Subaru community; I'm sure a lot of local Imprezas go on sale every week. However, Subaru is not as popular as, say, Chevy or Ford, so there's not going to be an Impreza in every issue of the local paper or anything.

Yah, but if they want a GC, well then, Good luck lol. I got mine in 01, and (even in wrecked condition) I'm holding on to it! It's crazy, even being at the least 5 - 6 years old an excellent condition GC can go for ~10k. Pretty good for a car that's not nearly at the power or electronic levels of the present impreza, but we got the great looking body style, so what can I say?

You have to watch the classifieds like a hawk, and if you're lucky, you'll be johnny-on-the-spot when some 85-year-old lady is selling her 96 L with 40,000 miles on it...

Nobody in Texas has any kinda car with only 40K on it... Texas is huge, even in the local sense. :-)
