changing my oil on my silverado

my dash said change oil oil life 0%
so i changed my oil and filter
but dash still says change oil oil life 0%
so can someone tell me what i did wrong help please:shakehead

It needs to be reset.
Owners manual may tell you how.
Some turn key on and push gas pedal to floor 3 times.
Depend on what year you have?

can someone tell me my dash said change oil
0% oil life so i did but it still says change oil
0% oil life on my dash also can you let me
know if five quarts of oil is enough
started to do the work on my truck my self
and i am so lost someone please help

Try this.
For a 05.
Without digital instrument cluster it's the old pump the pedal trick. With it, push fuel button until oil life appears. Hold button for 10 seconds until it flashes and your done.
