Paint options

Im a dang newbie, so I cant find the paint section. My question is about the 2 or 3 color changing Kameleon Kolors, or anything relative to this type of paint. I want to paint my custom fabricated dash/console/speakerbox unit. It is already a very bright yellow....I mean like Nuclear yellow! But I want this "color-change" effect on that yellow. By the way, I do know that what I have researched and noticed that all of my local paint shops want to paint it black to get the full effect. This "Black" base is not an option, its going to stay yellow, but I want the color change bad. Maybe I could just use 2 or 3 pearls, but told it wont be the same.

My Question is: Can I pull this off with reasonable results? To help you with answering the question AND opinions, forget the price....just will it be noticably worth while?

Any help links that would aid with the applications of this paint is also appreciated. Thanks for your time.

Re: Paint options

Welcome to AF! I don't really have the answer to your specific question, but here's a link to a forum that might better suit the topic:

I found the same problem as you...that is I couldn't figure out what forum to ask about paint in.

This forum (Car Detailing) is a somewhat slow forum. There's not a ton of discussion that happens here. The link above should be a much better choice. Good luck!
