So...

I'm currently in icy San Antonio (flew here for a conference, bought a $400 suit, and it's still as fooking cold as West Lafayette... it's amazing that 32 degree temperatures and rain is cause to shut down the entire fooking town of San Antone, whereas it's just an average day at Purdue..............), and I brought my car to my usual place to have it inspected because the springs were making noise on the struts. Turns out they put the rubber back on from my old springs, so they are raised like .25 inches or so, meaning the total drop is only like an inch now, which sucks but at least it wont be making noise.

Anyway, when I brought it there the day before I decided to leave for San Antone, they said they would also do an inspection to see whether or not they could build me a custom exhaust for my car using the flowmaster 80 series muffler... and they would keep my car there for a week and lock it in their garage overnight because I didnt wan't my stuff (couple thousand in audio equip) stolen... and keep in mind all of this was FREE because they kick ass!

Problem is they said they can't do a custom exhaust because it's a pain in the ass to get the exhaust over the rear axle or whatever... I understand that, but how have you guys gotten your stuff done? Did you find a shop that was able to do it anyway despite the tough challenge, or did you just buy a kit like the SLP kit?

There might be another shop that will do it, but I don't know if I trust them or not.........

Thanks guys Can't wait to find a way to have my asskicking exhaust done... assuming I don't go poor from this annoying trip!

Re: So...

Hey Vipey, you will run into this.

Just tell them to use the old exhaust as a templet to make those bends. The trouble is thier are wires/fuel lines right there! So they are afraid they'll blow something up

I'll see if I can find the #/address for the guy I know who can do it,
his shops over by Sagamore Parkway(the mall) in Lafayette.

Thier truly is plenty of room under there, compared to some other V6 and V8 automobiles. To me they just sound lazzy
