2000 F150 5.4 liter tune up parts

Just did a code scan and found the engine was misfiring. It has 77,000 miles on the truck and the owner claims he has never had it tuned up.

What parts are needed to for a complete tune up along with the recommended brands?

Also where are the plugs and wires? Are they under the valve cover? I see no plug wires and spark plugs down by the exhuast manifold. Any tips or advise would be appriciated.

There are COP's(coil on plugs), a bad one is probably what is causing the misfire. Most times that code will be for the one that is bad. The plugs are located below this coil.

At 77k mi you might check the plug(s) on the coil(s) that are bad when replaced. They might be fouled and need replacing.

What code are you getting?
