blowing fuese 96 jimmy

i just put in a aftermarket radio in my jimmy and now the CTSY(fuse number 2) blows out and when ever i try to put in a new one it blows this fuse controls my inter lights, horn, lifterglass and so on. any help would be nice

Does the radio work? If not, it's probably hooked up wrong and that would be the problem. Or, you may have pinched a wire under/inside the dash when you put the radio in, thus you have a shorted out wire. I would pull the radio and look things over.

radio works fine and looking into it more i think it is a pinched wire either by the radio or on the drivers side by the headlight switch thanks when weather premits im going to dig into it

i got it fixed after ripping all my panels off i found it it was my rear wiper motor, it was blown out unpluged it and all is good. i do now have a 4x4 issue but im going to keep reading the forums there are enough of those already i should find what i need thanks for the help

Where did you unplug it at? Just wondering if it was a bad unit or a pinched wire?

i unpluged in from the wiper motor itself in the tailgate the motor is shot since then i have had no problems need to get a new motor still though
