I just bought this car, do they have problems with cold climate?
I was wondering what kind of problems they have.
I think that it was bought off auction though. Do you think it would have anything to do with deposits anywhere or clogged injectors?

Re: My car jumps
it'd help if you could tell us a little bit more about your car, im assuming its a cavalier, what year and engine maybe? anyways, does it jump when you go to accelerate, does it quit doing it once the car is warmed up?? if thats the case thats not that uncommon, ive seen it happen plenty of times, usually to older cars or cars with high miles, just let it sit and warm up a few minutes before driving

Re: My car jumps
its got high miles, and 96 sunfire i havent had time to check engine size, but i do know its a 4 cylinder. it only jumps when cold. after it jerks a little bit then its fine. it does a self-accelerate once in a while.

Re: My car jumps
My 2001 (2.2) Sunfire self-accelerates too, but does it on an even grade and when it is warm. Everyone driving with me tells me that it is missing. But looking at the tach shows an actual quick jump in acceleration.

then you obviously just need to let it warm up a few minutes before driving,
