Electric/mirror Sometimes Works?

I have a 2003 S-10 crew cab and it has 71,000 hi - way miles on it, run's great.
My mirror 's sometimes work fine then they wont and then will work and now they only work to the 12 o clock & 9 o clock position there electric is getting to the motor but only to move the mirror up & to the left weird any one know how to go about this problem. i had a similar problem on my old 95. the right and down adjustments would not work. after some tracing, found out the switch itself was bad. i picked up another switch from a junkyard for about $5 and that solved the problem.

If you have the same problem with both mirrors, then I would say it's the switch, as each has its own motor and wiring.
