2003 Gt40

the ford concept roadshow truck... thing... had it's last stop in phoenix today. and the premire car was *dramatic pause* the new GT40! i've decided i need one... anyone who wishes to contrubute to the fund pm me and we'll work something out... but reguardless... and aside from too many straight lines, and the mustang influenced sides... this is one of the most beautiful cars i've seen in a long while

Angry ford better

kick some ass with this Gt40---it isn't pretty---but it better whip the Viper right in its ass.

maybe

ist just the color on the concept version. I hope it lets a Viper have it-------because I'm damn well sick of the Viper glory. Its gonna have a hell of power plant though. 5.4 liter supercharged. Maybe you know this one---I can't seem to find any info anywhere---maybe its still too early. I noticed that the new SVT Lightning----is using a Lysholm blower---and some unsusual 'recharging' intercooler technology----which I was still confused about after reading the press release. Is the Gt40---using an Eaton roots or the Lysholm roots? has it been announced yet? Are they pre-selling ? If so-----how many purchased approxamately. I know the 03 cobras------had about 7,000 presold before they went into production-----thats pretty fricken wicked!

well, as far as i know, there are 3 being made in 2003, and they should go into production of about 1000 a year. and as far as the engine goes... all i know is that Saleen is doing the work on it.

Ford GT

Production numbers are supposed to be something like 700 for 2004 and the same for 2005.

I have one on order. I haven't decided on the color combination yet. I am leaning on the original Gulf colors, light blue and orange.

Production Numbers

As I have heard from inside sources from Ford directly...

only 3 for 2003 to commemmorate the victories in LeMans in the 60s
then around 700 per year. More likely less would be my guess.
