Guys & Girls, I Need Help!

95 Cavalier 2.2. 5-Spped Manual.
So there i am driving one day when i go to shift from 3rd to 4th. I pull the stick out of 3rd and down to where 4th should have been, and let off th clutch, all of a sudden i'm in neutral. I look down, the stick is wehere 4th should be (at this point i'm scared). So i decide to turn around and head home. Pull into a gas station, u-turn, get out into the road. 1st is fine. I go to shift into 2nd, NOTHING. Same as 4th. Luckily, i made it home.

Turns out, i've lost 2nd, 4th and Reverse. The weirdes thing is, its intermittent. OCCASIONALLY i will get 4th, or 2nd, but reverse is totally toast. I dont think it is an internal transmission problem, because i am sometimes able to get into said gears. So i ripped out the centre console, and took a peek at the shift linkage under the hood. I dont have enough experience to know what's wrong. Can you guys help, or reccomend someone who is able to help me?

Re: Guys & Girls, I Need Help!

You need new shift cables. They only come as the set of both cables. But, that should correct your problem.
