95 Dakota wont lock

95 Dakota drivers door wont lock. No power lock or windows. I dont know if a spring broke in the door mechanism. I pulled off the door panel and sprayed everything with penetrating oil hoping it would loosen up something. I think the whole mechanism needs replaced but I cant tell. You cant push the lock down on the door or lock it with a key. Trying to fix myself body shop said 550. Another said 400. Any help I would appreciate. :naughty:

Buy a chiltons manual and follow instructions to remove the door panel then look at the linkage.
You can go to a junk yard and purchase the defective parts. This will be much cheaper than going to a body shop.
Even buying the complete insides should be cheaper. Check that the lock motor has power.

If both the window and the lock have failed, inspect the wiring coming into the door. You'll need a test light or meter and a wiring diagram.
