Instrument Cluster Swap

My '95 Blazer LS does not have a tach. Can I swap in another instrument cluster directly from any other '95 or newer S-10 platform vehicle? Is my Blazer is already equipped to send the signal for the tach? How can I check?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Instrument Cluster Swap

Yes, you can. Just be sure to get a cluster from another 6 cylinder, not a 4 banger unit.

I did this to my '97, with a cluster from a '95. The only problem (a cosmetic one) is that I have a console shift indicator, while the donor '95 cluster has the PRNDL on it. I got the donor unit at a local salvage yard.

Take a look at this link, there's some pictures in it.
