'92 V6 no fuel pressurecrazy Jim 12-23-2006, 09:49 AM After sitting for six months due to transmission issue an attempt was made to start the engine. It sputtered and died. Subsequent attempts to start the engine reveal the fuel pump will not pump and there is no fuel in the lines. The fuel pump circuit was jumpered at the relay and still would not start. Placing gas in the throttle body will allow the engine to run momentarily but stalls as soon as this small amount of gas is consumed. any help you can suggest would be appreciated. KimMG 12-24-2006, 01:45 AM Doe the tank have fuel? Is the pump getting power? Are the fuel lines good? If yes to the questions, then the pump itself may have failed. crazy Jim 12-24-2006, 09:22 AM checked power at the relay but did not check the wires all the way to the tank, so pretty much yes to all three. Was wondering if there was anything not so abvious to check out. 1thunder 12-24-2006, 04:12 PM also if crank sensor is faulty pcm will not power up fuel pump injectors or coil as it does not see engine rpm at crank to start time and often these sensors fail without setting any code in the pcm crazy Jim 12-24-2006, 04:16 PM thats what I've been looking for, thanks. The FP is now out of the tank and appears to be non functioning. Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
