Even if I am off, can 0.01mm be a dramatic difference in terms combustion or fuel efficiency?

0.44 inch = 1.1176 millimeters

1.1 millimeter = 0.043 307 087 inch

.044" is the correct gap or 1.1mm

If your off .001" it will not cause a problem
