Couple of Cavy questions...

my 1st question is this i will quote it from another forum.

and to test the switch someone told me to put the car in the on possition and then take a papper clip and stick in the back of the switch and check to see if the back up lights work and if they do then the switch is bad, if they stay off its a hotwire, ground, or bad bulb..

As for my other question..

I have bought a aftermarket tach have it mounted and everything works but i cant seem to find my stock tach wire someone told me it was the white wire number 21 on the computer i have tried every single white wire and nothing has worked but making my car sound like a damn lawnmower ???

so i was wondering if anyone could help me find a tach adaptor of some sort so that it will actually work like its supposed to..

It is your Back-Up Light Sensor. You can get them at Auto Zone for about 20 bucks or you can always check at the junkyard. (FYI: The sensor is the same for the 2.2 and the 2.4) It took me about 5 minutes to change. If you look at the car it is on the right side, on top of the transmission. It is sorta underneath the battery but with a long extension you can get in there very easily. All you have to do is unplug the harness, twist the old one out and put the new one in, and plug it back in. I am going to be headed to work in a few minutes, I will take a picture before I leave and post it when I get there. That way you know what sensor Im talking about. Very easy fix and well worth it! My cavy is the third car I have owned in a row to not have reverse lights, so I finally fixed one of em!

thank you again novarally i went home and tested them and the lights were good they turned on, so i figured out the switch was bad so ill be replacing it soon but here are some pictures i took of it just incase someone is wondering also were it is at for future purposes..

This is one is a picture taken of it from the Top while standing on the driver side of the car. Kinda hard to see but its there.....
