If you want the car now, better off w/ the older M3. The 3-series is coming up w/ a new model soon (not so sure if it's a 2004 model coming in fall of 2003). 'looks like the current 7 series in a compact.

Either or, them 3's are friggin' awesome ...errrrr, well mine has been anyway. 'got 63K on mine w/ the only major maintenance done -- a brake pad replaced :finger:

BTW, the same car u have was my 1st choice (coz of the quattro), but saw this 3 (current body style first came out as a 99 model) and settled for traction control. I feel much better now. :jump:

i go in the mtn's a lot during the winter... would the rear wheel drive pose a threat or cause hazardous conditions??? (with or with out Traction control)

As for the body style change... I dont care for the new style so im not worried too much...

thank you very much for you input... i greatly appreciate it...

ERrrrr.. aghhh...
I live on a hillside. From a flat road going to my place, I make a 90 degree turn going uphill, hence, I have to slow down at the turn. The 1st winter I got the car, on a 4-inch snowed road, I had a nightmare getting a headstart goin uphill with Traction Control ON. Then I learned to turn the traction control OFF to get an initial traction and turn it back on soon as I was running above 15 mph. Smooth steady traction afterwards. ABS is a wowie!

In your case... 330X wud be a go-get-her!

okay so i went to the dealer this afternoon and came back with this...

2000 328CI, Immaculate
31,139 miles $31,669

and if i lease $3,100 down, 500 a month 36months (12kmile lease)
and found out that the AWD system is only available on 4doors...

or a 2000 328ci in fair shape (hit once with slight overspray in doorjams)
46,759 miles $28,699

tomorrow i am going to go to Mercedes and Look at 98-99 clk320's just to contrast and compare... however it looks like i have my heart set on the 3...
