Help with a 95 Rodeo
hey everyone, i was wondering if you could help me out, and give me your opinions. ive had one rodeo before (check my sig), and was contemplating getting a 95 rodeo, black on gray, with a 5spd, 108k miles, pwr windows/locks, 4x4, auto hubs, for 1500
does this sound like a good deal? the guy bought it at an auction i think, so i know hes not the orginial owner. any thing i should look out for when going to look at it?
any help would be greatly appreciated
thanks, patrick

Re: Help with a 95 Rodeo
What year was your first Rodeo? Were you the original owner of the 1st one?
If so, I would just double check all the same maintenance areas of your first Rodeo.
Check to see if it's a HEAVY ticker (the engine) or a soft ticker.
Climb underneith and check weep holes of the waterpump
Check all 4 tires; irregular wear?
Valve cover gaskets - check to see if there's heavy oil accumilation in the engine bay.
Check color/condition of antifreeze & oil
For the price of $1500, if it's in good to excellent shape, that's definitely a steal!

Re: Help with a 95 Rodeo
my first rodeo was a 91, paid 1500 for that one too i believe. im debating on going to look at this one over the weekend or a 96 trooper 120kmiles , auto, for 2400, to be honest i like the looks of the trooper better, but it depends on if its still available
thanks for the quick response

Re: Help with a 95 Rodeo
Ok, yeah the 91 had the 3.1L GM engine - I had one too; LOVED that truck.
The 95 has the 3.2L Isuzu engines
I've had one of each, both automatics, and both are/were excellent trucks.
If you look at the Trooper, look at all the same things mentioned above, but also THOROUGHLY check out ALL lines/gaskets/and the two pans on the auto transmission, make sure it doesn't have any ATF leaks that have gone unnoticed. Also, if it has paperwork proving it's had ATF changes at least every 30-40k miles, the better off you'll be.

Re: Help with a 95 Rodeo
I think a 95 rodeo with 108k miles for 1500 is a good deal... Check the frame for rust.
