Headlight works but doen't??

Ok, The right head light is very very dim but the left on is fine. I thought the bulb was burnt out so I bought a new one and it is still very dim. The fuse is fine. It's a 2000 rodeo 3.2l. Any insight would be great. I would like to be able to see at night. Thanks

Anything else goofy??

All HVAC/Radio controls working? Any funny idiot lights on the dash?

Think you've got it down, read it enough I'm sure, that Isuzu's are volt happy - check all your grounds, battery, alternator (my guess).

Re: Headlight works but doen't??

my first thought would be a poor ground. or a contact. or wiring.

is it the same no matter high or low beam ?

have you 'played' with the relay to see if jostling the contacts makes a difference ? have you done similar with the light switch and the hi-lo beam lever switch ?

High or low, its the same dullness. I will have to test the current going to the light and hopefully be able to trace it. Its just wierd. Enrything else works fine, no other lights are out and nop idiot lights on.

Re: Headlight works but doen't??

Would you happen to have a trailer wiring harness connected?

If so, disconnect and see what happens
