the cod is a crank angle sensor, so do I just need to fix the sensor or is there more to it, like pulling the engine apart. The engine light dosnt stay on all the time either just after about ten minutes of driving? Also my car somtimes wont start, it fires up then just dies could this be part of the problem.

I dont thing you have to tear the engine apart, its just like an oil sensor or a speed sensor. It bolts up to the engine.
You may need to clear the codes afterwards.
