i just got an 84 celica supra mk2 it has the 2.8 liter with the A43DE automatic and im getting a TMGTE to put in it what 5 speed tranny should i get to go in it and what all do i need to to swap it out

I am not sure what the TMGTE is, do you mean the 7MGTE? The 7MGTE should be run with an R154. Make sure you buy a complete motor with harness, sensors, and ECU. If you want to run a manual you should make sure it is a MT ECU. The clutch is hyd, so the car will have to be fitted with a clutch pedal and clutch master cyl set up. You will also have to address the drive shaft.

The W58 trans will mate up to the 7MGTE, and is a better match to your MK II, but it is not as strong as the R154. It will hold up provided you keep the motor stock, and do not drive hard(no hard launches at the drag strip).
