92 GP se cruise control

Hi, I have a problem with my cruise. When I am going down the road, I can push the button for the cruise and I feel the gas pedal move slightly. As I let off the gas the car slowly loses speed. If I tap the brakes the cruise turns off and coasts as normal. I haven't really dug into the problem yet, I thought someone would know of some common problems.
thanks
Kyle

Re: 92 GP se cruise control

Your cruise servo (the part that actually holds/moves the throttle) is vacuum operated. It could have a cracked/loose vacuum supply hose, or the diaphram could have a rip/pinhole in it which is allowing vacuum to bleed off. This will cause it hold for a second, then slowly lose speed.
