Re: 98 GT Wont Start. NEED HELP!

If you have fuel then there are probably other issues. First of all did you check the fuel pressure? If not you may not have enough pressure to allow the car to start. If you check the pressure and you have between 45 and 50 PSI you have enough pressure to start the car. If not then the fuel pump or filter or both may be bad.

Next, if the fuel checks out then spark has to be the issue. There are a couple possible issues. First the ignition module under the coils may be bad. This would preclude starting. The other possibility is the Crank position sensor. If it has gone bad it will not tell the ECM when to fire the plugs. Start with the ignition module and then the CPS.

Before you start doing anything check all grounds and wiring at the starter!

Good Luck!
