Reminder; pet lovers/owners - keep

your fur-ones close to your heart these holidays, and lets not forget how quickly they too can find themselves in an emergency situation.

Spent all morning, and we have to go back this afternoon to the local emergency vet clinic, one of our 4-legged Pomeranian's ruptured an anal gland/sac; he thoroughly indulges on eating pine cones and any kind of small pieces of wood he can get his chomps on, which we feel has led to this.

But, while he was being sedated; prepped for surgery, a couple came in with a big brown lab mix who's 2 front legs looked like they belong to a Draft Belgium Clydesdale horse. Come to find out, he'd been attacked by a rattlesnake - same ugly things we've found in our house from time to time.

His outcome didn't look too good; his face got bigger by the second as well.

Let's all give that 2nd thought to our furry friends who help keep our feet planted.
