Axle Extenders

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone has heard of, or have used those spacers that you can insert between the tire and the rotor.

I'm not exactly sure what they are called, but I think I accidentally ran across it in one of those Auto Tech sites, 2 or 3 years ago.

Their purpose is to extend the axle out a little bit more so to make the vehicle look like its got mud tires.

I'm thinking of getting 2 pairs, but I don't know where to get them.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Kidace

Re: Axle Extenders

They are called wheel spacers, make sure your wheel studs are long enough to get the lug nuts all the way on. You should have at least two full threads sticking out of your lug nuts if you are using factory ones. If you are using closed ended lug nuts you will need to decide when the wheel is put on with the spacer in place if they are long enough.
