How to install a new CD?

My Prizm99 has only radio on it, I am going to install a CD, but it seems it need some modification to make the CD fit for the car according to some websites. Does any body have experiences on CD installation? How to take it off and install it? Thanks!!

Re: How to install a new CD?

All right, I just install a new CD on my 99Prizm and have some experience want to share with you.

1. The 99 Prizm old radio bracket is incompatible with the aftermarket CD, but it can be solved by either drill some holes on the old bracket to fix the CD( it also need a pocket from dealer) or purchase/use a install kit.

2. Go to Walmart and find the right Harness for it --Scosche IM01.

It turns out to be pretty easy.
