Rear window

Does anybody know how to fix the rear window from ratleing? It's driving me crazy. Ive tried electrical tape wrapped around the latch but that only works for about a month or so. Would replacing the two shocks work?

Re: Rear window

Is that what the noise is?

I always figured that there were acorns stuck somewhere above the black covering for the brake light...

I used the same fix for this problem as the noisy lifters...volume ^^^

Re: Rear window

You didnt say what year but there is a TSB issued for rear hatch rattling on '98+ rodeos. The fix involves putting some o-rings on the hinges then adjusting the latch.

TSB #SB00-11-S005
o-ring kit part #2-90503-920-0

Re: Rear window

I suspect my problem might have something to do with a replacement rear window I installed after having someone break mine in anger...

BTW, it is a 1995.5.

Re: Rear window

Its a 2000, we had the o-rings replaced and it did nothing to fix the problem. I never took it back because the people at the dealership where idiots. Sorry if anyone works at one but, they where. If anybody knows a good fix let me know.
