I have a 97 Neon. Yesterday, the left rear brake locked up. I took off therear wheel and tried to get the brake drum off. I had to hit it a couple of times with a hammer and suddenly the drum turned fine. I put it back together and it drove fine for a few miles. Now it's doing it again. What could cause this?

Sticking wheel cylinder. Leaking wheel cylinder. Bad flex line to the rear brakes. Brakes not properly adjusted. Did you remove the drum and look?

I took off the left drum and found nothing. After I took the left drum I found that the break shoe hadnseperated from the steel part of the shhoe. I don't know why the left side ever locked up but I changed both sets of shoes and everrything is fine now.
