day time lights

I just purchased a 1999 tahoe today and it didnt have the owners manual and i want to know if there is a way to turn off the day time driving lights?

On my 2000 Yukon, you have to push the dome override button 4 times within a few seconds.

I've put 100,000 miles on my '97 Tahoe and never had to replace a headlight bulb, so i don't believe the DRL shortens bulb life. This is a safety feature that may prevent some yutz from pulling out in front of you. Leave them on!
