98 blazer abs

I have a 98 Blazer and I have had so many problems I don't know where to start. My most recent is the abs. When I first start my Blazer the abs light is off and when I try to stop the abs kicks in and won't let me push the brake. After a few seconds the abs light comes on and the brakes work. I also have the same humming noise comming from my front end that many others do. goes away when switched into 4wd or when I stop.

Someone please help!!! Thanks.

Re: 98 blazer abs

Welcome to the forum - sorry about the many problems - we all have been there! If humming and ABS problems check the front 1 piece hubs as they do wear out and contain the ABS sensors. Many posts on these and use the search selection and you'll find lots of info and in the How to/Tech section pics of repairs. Always state the drive type 2wd or 4wd and mileage as well as recent things that happened so members can best direct you to the most likely parts to look at.
