Smile Used the wrong oil. Went heavier. Problem?

My jimmy is rated for 5w-30. I spaced out and changed in 10w-40. Is this a problem? I'm thinking about running by a ahop and having them change the oil back, but leave the filter.

Thanks

Is it important to switch it?

Depends on how hot it gets where you're at. If you're in the USA, you're likely right to change it back. Oil that's too thick can't get into some of the lifters and they'll start "pecking" soon.

What is the expected temperature range in your location?
