Question Clutch Bypass

I am wondering where the clutch by-pass wire is on this car or any gm for that matter. I would like to install a remote starter on it. It is a 5 speed, I have dont starter installations on auto's but never manuals. Also how to check the neautral saftey switch on a a manual.

IMHO: Your best bet is to track down a Factory Service Manual or just get an account at AllData

Hope it helps.

Manufacturers of remote starting systems do not recommend installation on cars with manual transmissions because they are supposed to be left in gear when parked. I don't recommend it either.

However, there should be a switch behind the clutch pedal that is depressed when the clutch is fully disengaged that functions as the starter interrupt. It should be similar to the brake light switch.
