how to adjust idle up solenoid (SV2! Camry)

Have 1987 sv21 camry.
Have replaced the idle up solenoid but my mechanic adjusted it because it was set too high. Now it has no effect. How do I adjust it so it increases the revs. ALSO how do I increase the engine idle as it always sits on 600 and can cut out on acceleration. what should it be on an automatic?
Thanks

The idle up VSV is not adjustable. It's just a valve, open or close, to control the air flow. Follow the air tube, it connects to another valve with a white hex top and a spring. That's what you can adjust.
