1995 Camaro Idle

My 1995 3.4V6 is idling between 1100 and 1200 RPMs. How do I lower the idle of the car? I don't think it should be idling quite that high....Thanks!

Re: 1995 Camaro Idle

A lot of newer cars you need to have a tuner or something to change the idle through the computer. I am not sure if there is a way to change it mechanically.

Re: 1995 Camaro Idle

Is that the idle at start up or after its warmed up? Cold idle (start up) will always idle high to get fluids going and stuff, but once its warmed up, the idle should knock itself back down.

Re: 1995 Camaro Idle

When it gets warm it idles around 900-1000, on a cold crank it's 1200 or so, is this normal?
