chip remapping, air intake boost and exhaust upgrade

My BMW dealer in Las Vegas wants $2000 for chip remapping, air intake and exhaust modifications to my 4.4 X5. They claim a 30 to 40 hp boost in power. Any suggestions for a cheaper way to do the same.

Power chips

The Aussie maker of power chips does a chip for 4.4i X5 for A$ 1650 (which is around US$900). Check it out (c&p) http://www.powerchipgroup.com/chips/...=1&cid=Bmw0087

that offer of 2000$ is not too bad... but 40 hp is quite much
more than 30 it won´t be
