91 Lumina APV not firingChesare 11-13-2006, 01:22 PM Hi. It's my first post on this site, great that people helps eachother. We have a problem, the car was running fine, but after passing a bump inadvertly, we turn the engine off to see the damage, then it won't starts anymore. There is no spark at the output of the coil. Do you know what are the signals on Ignition module for a Lumina APV 91. It has the following pins: P N E R On one side + C On the other side. B Maybe you have the wiring diagram, and that could help. The problem basically is that not spark is present. On the 'Coil' pin, is (-) when engine off, turning the key into ignition, puts this terminal to (+) but starting the engine doesn't give any pulsing signal... Thank you. Chesare 11-13-2006, 03:10 PM I found some really great info on this link, while using the left-top google bar. http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/dfi-ecm/243633-gm-ignition-module-technical.html I also foun the following description for the terminals: P - P+ N - Input E - EST R - REF + - B+ C - COIL B - BYPASS LMP 11-13-2006, 05:45 PM IN case it helps www.avigex.ca/xport/ignition31.jpg Chesare 11-14-2006, 02:55 PM Great LMP ! Thank you very much. We connected the wires with the help of that diagram, and now we have the spark and the fuel injected. Well, the spark comes in to distributor, but it don't come out, now we'll focus on distributor cap, and timing to see why spark don't show. We also change the magnetic strip that is sandwich between the base of the coil an the spykes on the fixed part. I'll post about the future results. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
