Unhappy No Heat in rear of 2004

Hi Guys I have a 2004 chevy tahoe z71 with 45k and the rear heat has recently stopped working. Is there sensor or something gone bad? If where is it how do I fix it. The dash heat works like new. The rear always blows cold.

Thanks in advance

Re: No Heat in rear of 2004

You probably have a blend door motor bad. The one that switches from hot to cold. It is a easy thing to figure out. Just pop off the passenger side interior molding behind the rear fender. You will find a black air box with two blend motors attached to the outside. One is for upper and lower air flow and the other is for hot or cold air. Have someone turn the hot and cold control while you look at the round white shaft that goes through the motor. You should be able to see it turning slowly when they work the control knob. If it doesn;t turn then you might swap motors to be sure. Real simple, three screws and they slide off the blend door shaft.
