Hello all

My best friend is getting a new car, it is a 2002 Dodge Stratus R/T Coupe with the V6 3.0L (198HP, 205 lb torque) and an intake. I am very happy for him since all he has now is a beat-up Daewoo and I am glad he could step up. However, I was talking with him and I told him that his new car will probably be able to beat mine but he said that he doesnt think so.

I have the V6 firebird and by logic I deduced that the extra 2HP and 20 lb of torque wont be enough considering that the stratus weights around 200 lbs less. And this is without taking into account that my car is completely STOCK and his has an intake. What do you all think?

Race him and see. You might take him off the line. From a roll he would probably take you but you also have to look at stuff like tranny gearing and your rear gears. Could very well go either way though.
