Re: int manifold torque =-??

the torque value depends on which set you bought. If it's the new design metal/rubber gasket set (part# MS98004T), the new torque spec is in the box. If it's the old plastic/rubber set (part# MS90562), use the factory proceedure which is:

Tighten all the lower intake manifold bolts in sequence to 7 N·m (62 lb in) on the first pass.
Tighten the longer center lower intake manifold bolts in sequence to 13 N·m (115 lb in) on the final pass.
Tighten the shorter outer lower intake manifold bolts in sequence to 25 N·m (18 lb ft) on the final pass.

For reference, tighten the water outlet bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

hi rich i just called felpro at 1-800-325-8886. they say that they don,t give torque specs. they say i must get a repair manual for that. i,m worried about putting this gasket on the car. i have enogh problems without creating more. do you think i should go to the chevy dealer and buy what ever they have if they will give torque specs?
