OK, it is a GMC, but Express vans outnumber Savana 100 to 1 on the road, and noone ever reponds to my threads in the GMC forums. They are identical, by the way.
My problem is two fold: I have a moaning front end, only when engine is cold. Stops after running the engine about 5 minutes. Three different shops have looked at it, and cannot find it. I have had the power steering pump replaced, as well as tie rods, etc. all across the front end. Virtually every thing new except the rack and pinion gear, but I am promised that is not the problem. Closest guess is maybe a bushing in the steering column, and all it needs is a little grease. Well, of course there is no grease fitting. Any one know anything about this?
Second problem is about the "service engine soon" light. Please be so kind as to visit the GMC forum, under Savana and read this one. It is potentially expensive and I need some advice. You are welcome to respond to me directly at
Farr645@peoplepc.com.
Thanks
