Unhappy 95 olds cutlass supreme tranny help

The torgue converter will not lock up when the tranny is warned up.
It will lock up if the tranny is cold or at top speeds like 85 to 90 mph.
when getting it to lock up at high speeds, then slow down without getting off the gas pedal completely it will stay locked. But if it unlocks it will not lock up again, unless cold of high speeds. I was wondering if the pump is getting weak or is it the torgue convertor bad. The tranny does not slip, it also shifts good, hard acceleration or normal acc. Any info would be greatly appreciated. dcf

Re: 95 olds cutlass supreme tranny help

95 Cutlass Supremes are notorious for tranny problems! I'm on my 3rd in a year!
The last one that blew was on the highway. Mt torque converter totally went, and I'm lucky nothing else went! It was so bad, that when the tow-truck came the truck had a very hard time moving it in neutral because the wheels locked.

When's the last time you had it serviced? Gasket & filter changed? Are you losing fluid?
